Counting on

Posted on October 18, 2017 by tenambit25

Year 1 students today were learning how to count on from the bigger number. Eg. 7+5=?, so Taylor put 7 ‘in his head’ and counted 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 to get the answer. They were very clever and worked hard to find the answers!
The ’12’ is very faint in the photos.

Zoey’s visit

Posted on October 10, 2017 by tenambit25

At the end of term 3, Zoey came to visit us for a few hours. Her favourite subject last year was art and it still is so we had an afternoon of art activities and then K-6D wanted to play some games outside with her. We all miss Zoey so much but were excited to hear her great stories about high school. Miss Duncan and Miss Wardley were very proud of how mature she is and caring towards her K-6D friends.

Fun with skittles

Posted on September 14, 2017 by tenambit25

After our science lesson on changing state today, we got to have a little bit of fun with lollies and water. All students got to join in and watch the reaction occur! They were mesmerised.

Measurement

Posted on September 14, 2017 by tenambit25

Year 2 and Year 4 students have been learning about length over the last couple of weeks and are doing different activities everyday to improve our understanding.  Here are some photos from our first couple of days on length this term.

Telling the Time

Posted on September 3, 2017 by tenambit25

All ages in K-6D are learning about time at the moment. Some students are starting to learn how to read time by the hour whilst others are converting between analog and digital time to the minute.

Thanks to Miss Gillies who helped us with our lessons.

Book Week 2017

Posted on August 25, 2017 by tenambit25

Escape to Everywhere! What a great week we have all had. Everyday, we have chosen a Mystery Book and followed the clues to try and figure out what the book is and then we read it together. Our theme this year for our class was Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and we had some new characters in the story as well (Elsa, Ninja and PJ Mask).

Thanks to Mrs Riding for organising an amazing week for us all!

Future teachers

Posted on August 19, 2017 by tenambit25

During free time, Moses and Taylor chose to play school. They took turns pretending to be Miss Duncan in her teacher chair and we’re teaching each other how to play some of our games. They used formal language and showed how mature they have become by taking turns.
